1 can (15 oz) of chickpeas or use
this easy insta-pot chickpea recipe
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon red crushed pepper
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon chilli powder or paprika
1 tablespoon olive oil
Pre-heat oven to 350°F. Mix all the dry condiments. Place chickpeas in a cooking pan
and cover with olive oil. Add the spices and mix well. Roast in the oven for 40-50 minutes
stirring every 20 minutes. Leave the tray in the oven with the door ajar while the oven
cools off.
NOTE: you can also soak 1 1/2 cups of dry chickpeas overnight with 1 tablespoon of salt.
Rinse before using.
